A contingent of soldiers from the Republic of Moldova could go for a possible secondment in Ukraine

Our country is ready to send a team of experts to help defuse bombs and mines in the war-torn neighboring country. This was announced by the Minister of Defense, Anatol Nosatîi, who also specified that starting on August 15, the Moldovan military will participate in the UN peacekeeping mission in the Republic of Lebanon, reports Moldova 1 TV.

"Starting from August 15, the Moldovan military will participate in the UN peacekeeping mission in the Republic of Lebanon, in the "United Nations International Force in Lebanon" mission. We have started negotiations with the EU regarding participation in the mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and have prepared a contingent of soldiers for possible deployment in Ukraine, for humanitarian demining missions", said Nosatîi.
