Moldovans will no longer need visas to travel to the State of Qatar

Moldovans will be able to travel to the State of Qatar without visas. A project in this sense was voted by 86 deputies. Thus, holders of ordinary passports will be able to enter, transit or be on the territory of the State of Qatar or the Republic of Moldova for a period of up to 90 days, within 180 days. The condition is that the purpose of the stay is tourism, transit or business interest. At the same time, people who plan to exceed this term will have to get a long-stay visa.

According to the authors, the abolition of the visa regime will result in an increase in the flow of Moldovan and Qatari citizens who want to travel, and this will contribute to the development of mutual cooperation on all dimensions and boost bilateral trade.

Until now, the Republic of Moldova has signed 13 bilateral agreements with the State of Qatar, which aim at mutual travel for holders of diplomatic and special passports, mutual promotion and protection of investments, cooperation in the economic, commercial and technical fields, etc.
