Voted in the final reading: The Fund for entrepreneurship and economic growth was created
The Parliament approved the creation of the Fund for entrepreneurship and economic growth of Moldova, with the status of an internal subdivision within the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA). The project to amend the Law on small and medium enterprises was voted on in the second reading.
The fund will provide small and medium-sized enterprises with access to financing under advantageous conditions. Financing instruments such as credits, total or partial compensation of loan costs, and other financing mechanisms will be used.
The fund for entrepreneurship and economic growth of Moldova will be financed from the allocations from the state budget, the financial means offered by the development partners and donors in the form of credits, financial and technical assistance, as well as grants. It will also be completed from the income obtained from lending and re-crediting, from the investment of the available financial means. The size of the fund for the current year is 70 million lei. The government proposes that, during the next three years, the capitalization of the fund to reach 2.45 billion lei. It is estimated that, next year, ODA, through the fund and other programs, will be able to make available to entrepreneurs about one billion lei.
