State enterprise "Moldatsa" will receive a grant of three million euros

The state enterprise for the use of airspace and servicing of air traffic "Moldatsa" will receive a 3 million euro grant from the Voluntary Solidarity Fund within Eurocontrol. According to the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu, this fund will be used to cover personnel and training costs.

Also, the money will be used to ensure operational training and process continuity within the air navigation service provider.

"Russia's war against Ukraine directly affects aviation in our country. Moldatsa's revenues dropped considerably, by more than 50%, due to the closure of the airspace. The resources mentioned above will help the company to provide services in the future", said Andrei Spînu.

It should be noted that the Chisinau International Airport returned to state ownership. A decision in this regard was taken on November 23 by the Chisinau Court of Appeal. The Prime Minister of the country, Natalia Gavriliţa, assured that the state will professionally manage the activity of the Airport.

On the other hand, the spokeswoman of the Chisinau International Airport, Rodica Rusu, told Radio Moldova that the decision adopted is an "illegal" one, and it will be unconditionally appealed to the Supreme Court of Justice, as "there are no valid reasons for terminating the contract of concession".
