Declarations of the Bloc ACUM and PSRM after the closed-door negotiations
The bloc ACUM and PSRM have expressed their positions in today's negotiations and will reunite at the negotiating table this afternoon. The statements were made by the leaders of the PSRM and the bloc ACUM, after the closed-door negotiations in the Parliament.
The Socialists were represented by the party chairman, Zinaida Greceanii, but also the deputies Vlad Bătrîncea and Ion Ceban. From the bloc ACUM, Maia Sandu and Andrei Năstase, Alexandru Slusari and Igor Grosu participated.
"We have expressed the point of view of the bloc ACUM about how we can pull the state out of captivity and reiterated the need to vote on the de-oligarchization package. PSRM talked about their positions. We agreed that we will have a further discussion this afternoon," Maia Sandu said after the talks.
PPDA leader Andrei Năstase said that the starting point in the collaboration with PSRM should be "the vote for the de-oligarchization package" to "free all state institutions". Also, the bloc ACUM stated that in the dialogue with PSRM it reiterated the need of the Association Agreement with the EU to be implemented by the next government.
Maia Sandu and Andrei Năstase said that at the yesterday's meeting with Russian Deputy Minister Dmitry Kozak, they discussed the economic situation between Moldova and Russia, telling to the Russian official the need to withdraw the Russian troops from the Transnistrian region and the munitions from Cobasna.
After statements made by the bloc ACUM, the PSRM leaders also made statements for the press.
"We have exposed our positions. We took note of their positions and we agreed that after consulting with our factions we would meet in the afternoon," Zinaida Greceanii said.
The last time when an attempt was made for PSRM and ACUM to negotiate, the socialist leader Zinaida Greceanii left the meeting room due to lack of Maia Sandu and Andrei Năstase.
The bloc ACUM invited PSRM yesterday to new negotiations for the creation of a parliamentary majority.
The invitation was launched after the meeting of the representatives of the parliamentary parties with the European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Negotiations for Enlargement Johannes Hahn and the Office Director for Eastern Affairs of the US State Department Brad Freden.
TRM.MD recalls that last week the Democratic Party called for the Party of Socialists to negotiate. For the time being, the two political parties have not met.
