Minister of Defense: No mobilization order was issued in Moldova
There is no state of siege in Moldova and no mobilization order has been issued. The statement belongs to the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatii, who urges people not to believe in the false messages about the mobilization of men and to get information from credible sources. The reaction comes after a fake news online about the mobilization of men aged between 18 and 60.
"Dear citizens, with reference to the many messages that have appeared online about the possible involvement of the Republic of Moldova in some military or mobilization measures. Moldova is not under siege and no mobilization order has been issued. The information is fake and I call for calm. Those who spread fake news will be punished by law. Dear citizens, I urge you to be informed only from credible and official sources ", said the Minister of Defense.
The president of the country, Maia Sandu, came with a reaction. "There are no signs that the Republic of Moldova is subject to risks related to the war in Ukraine and no preconditions for Moldova to become militarily involved in this conflict. No order was given to mobilize the army, "the head of state concluded.
