Consumers on the left side of the Nistru are not affected by the reduction in gas volumes, says the head of Moldovagaz

Consumers on the left side of the Nistru, social institutions and even the industry, are not affected by the reduction of gas volumes that reach the left side of the Nistru, said the head of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, in a show on Jurnal TV. This was announced in the context in which the alleged authorities from Tiraspol accuse Chisinau of causing a humanitarian crisis in the region.

"We requested the information twice, so that we know exactly what the consumption is for the residential sector and social objects. The Cuciurgan plant generates gas-based electricity. I don't see any problems in supplying social objects and domestic consumers with natural gas", said Vadim Ceban.

He said that if Tiraspol wishes to conclude direct contracts with suppliers such as "Gazprom", this can take place, but in strict accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.

We remind you that this month, Tiraspol accused Chisinau, that it would endanger both the industrial sector and the economic situation in the region in the context of the 40% reduction in the volumes of gas distributed to the left of the Nistru. In November, the Russian concern Gazprom supplied the Republic of Moldova with a total volume of 5.7 million cubic meters of gas per day, for both banks of the Nistru, which was 60 percent less than the required amount of the country.

For December, Gazprom announced that gas deliveries to our country will be reduced by 56.5 percent.
